After beginning a family, she became interested in landscape design and established a very successful business in that field--Rosalind Thorp Landscapes, Ltd. It was during this period that she became involved in spirituality, metaphysics and environmental issues. Her writing ranges from a thesis for the Canadian Journal of Medical Technology (April 1965) on Immunohematology to presentations as a landscape designer that included detailed drawings. Under a column called "The Indigenous Gardener", she has written for three magazines while overlooking the sea on Savary Island. Thorp now lives in Powell River, British Columbia.
